Yeonsung University was founded in 1977 to contribute to the nation's and society's development by fostering holistic human resources with intellectual, creative, and communicative abilities. Over the past 40 years, the university has developed into a prestigious academic institution for vocational education with constant innovation and tireless passion. We are not resting on our laurels to advance as a world-class university. We are implementing the five development strategies, 16 strategic tasks, and 48 implementation tasks of the university's mid-to-long-term development plan, "VISION 2027." By doing so, we hope to realize the university's vision of becoming a world-class university that nurtures professional and technical talents and a top-five university for lifelong higher vocational education in 2027. Yeonsung is our educational philosophy, which means to fulfill the word's meaning by cultivating academics and virtue. Based on this educational philosophy, we have established a student-customized support system called the "Gemstone Education System" to foster 3C-type talents that combine intellectual, creative, and cooperative abilities. Through this systematic support system, which grows possibilities into polished gems, we nurture 21st-century talents who have moral character, interact with their neighbors and the world, and think creatively and convergently. The university's efforts have recently been crystallized through the selection of the Ministry of Education's third phase of the Leading Universities for Industry-Academia Cooperation (LINC 3.0), Meister University (Master of Professional Technology), and Higher Vocational Education Base Area (HiVE) projects. The university's vision is becoming a reality. This picture of a responsible university that prioritizes education will drive students to shape their future with hope and pride. When we celebrate our 46th anniversary in 2023, we will do our best to help every student who enters Yeonsung University become a Yeonsung person based on harmony, communication, empathy, and trust among our members.
